Cameron Fozi is a Bronx Bulletin reporter covering Community District 1, which includes Mott Haven, Port Morris and Melrose. He is a student in Columbia University’s dual master’s program in computer science and journalism and most recently was a general assignment and data reporting intern at Bay City News, the San Francisco Bay Area’s newswire. In summer 2023, he interned for the San Diego Union-Tribune, his hometown newspaper. He got his start in journalism at UC Berkeley’s student-run newspaper, the Daily Californian.

  Youmna Sukkar covers the neighborhoods nestled within Community Board District 4, including Highbridge, Concourse, and Mount Eden. Prior to The Bronx Bulletin, Youmna worked at CNN International Commercial in Ad Sales and in Public Relations at Pelham Communications. A Boston University graduate, —and thus, admittedly, a Red Sox fan— Youmna speaks English, Arabic and French and can be reached at ys3895@columbia.edu or @youmnasukkar on X and Instagram.

 Shailee Shah is the Community District 8 reporter for the Bronx Bulletin, which covers Fieldston, Kingsbridge, Riverdale, and their surrounding areas. Most recently she worked at The Fulcrum, the student newspaper at the University of Ottawa where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from in 2024. Currently an M.S. Journalism student at Columbia University, Shailee hopes to report on how effective communities are built and how citizens are connected through local public policy. When she’s not chasing a story, you can find her petting every dog she meets, biking around Morningside Heights, or writing letters to her local representatives. Owen Mason-Hill covers Hunts Point and Longwood (Bronx Community District 2) and is an M.S. graduate student at Columbia Journalism School. He graduated from Middlebury College with a B.A. in Film and Media Culture. 

He began his career in journalism as a staff columnist and the Senior Arts & Culture Editor for The Campus, Middlebury College’s student-run newspaper. His column, Direct Your Attention, covered film, television, music and broader cultural criticism. Mason-Hill continued his work through an editorial internship at Mood of Living, an online magazine for eco-conscious living.

Rajaa Bint Talal is a  reporter covering Community District 9 for the Bronx Bulletin.  She is currently an M.S. graduate student at Columbia Journalism School. 

Hailing from Amman, Jordan, she spent the last 4 years in Washington D.C. completing an undergraduate education in political science and journalism at Georgetown University. 

Bint Talal has worked for various news organizations, such as Al Mamlaka TV and Reuters, and wrote for the Georgetown Univeristy newspaper The Hoya. 

Her areas of interest include sports, politics, and culture.

Jala Everett covers Community District 12, which includes Williamsbridge, Baychester, Eastchester, Edenwald, Fishbay, Olinville, Wakefield and Woodlawn.  A Cleveland, Ohio native, she graduated from Spelman College where she studied english, film, & visual culture. Before joining the Bulletin, Jala worked in broadcast roles at The Wall Street Journal, ABC News, Lemonada Media, CNN, and Harvard Business Review. Her reporting has covered topics such as the effects of erratic weather on farmers' livelihoods, the humanitarian crisis at Rikers Island, the impact of gunshot detection software, and the 2024  presidential election. Jacob Amaro is a Bronx Bulletin reporter covering Community District 9. Prior to joining the Bulletin, Amaro was a reporter at NJ.com for Mosaic, focusing his coverage on underserved communities. Amaro, who earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from Rutgers University, hails from  Paterson, New Jersey, where he lives today with his family of 10. His goal during his time at the Bulletin, work he does while pursuing his master’s degree at Columbia Journalism School, is to shed light on the people, places and things that matter to CD9. Camilia Fateh is a Bronx Bulletin reporter covering Community District 3, which includes Morrisania, Claremont, and Crotona Park East. She is an M.S. Candidate at Columbia Journalism School, and a recent graduate of Georgetown University where she studied English, Journalism, and Visual Arts. Prior to joining the Bulletin, she wrote art and fashion criticism for V Magazine, Cultured Magazine, and Byline, as well as for various campus publications. During her time as an undergraduate, she wrote about local news in Washington, D.C., and is most proud of a series of stories she reported about a now-destroyed low-income housing cooperative called Sursum Corda.
